Full Daycare

Tailored for children aged 2 years 6 months to 5 years, focusing on developmental milestones and school readiness through the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum

An engaging mid-day experience with nutritious meals and social interaction

Wraparound Care (Breakfast & After-School Club)

Extending our care for children up to 11 years old, providing a safe and fun environment before and after school

Session Times

Preschool Sessions (Monday to Friday):

  • Morning: 09:00 to 11:30
  • Morning + Lunch: 09:00 to 12:30
  • Afternoon + Lunch: 11:30 to 15:00
  • Afternoon: 12:30 to 15:00
  • All Day: Morning, Lunch and Afternoon combined
Wraparound Care

  • Breakfast Club (Monday-Thursday): 07:30 to 08:45
  • Breakfast Club (Friday): 08:00 to 08:45
  • After-School Club (Monday-Thursday): 15:15 to 17:30 (Includes pickup from St. George’s Primary School)

Preschool Fees

  • All Day – £28.50
  • Morning Session – £12.50
  • Lunch Club – £4.50
  • Afternoon Session – £11.50
Breakfast Club

  • 07:30 to 08:00 –  £3.50
  • 08:00 to 08:45 – £4.50
After-School Club

  • 15:00 to 16:00 – £5.00
  • 16:00 to 17:00 – £6.50
  • 17:00 to 17:30 – £3.00

Terms & Conditions

  • Fees will be reviewed each September.
  • Receipts will be issued upon payment of fees if needed for working child tax credits.
  • Children may be eligible for 2 year funding, please refer to Dorset Council for further information. Link
  • We will work with parents in an atmosphere of mutual respect within which children can have their security and confidence.
  • The next full term after your child’s third birthday, he/she will be eligible for government funding. This is made up of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year.
  • If your child is sick or on holiday, full fees must still be paid. It is very important to advise the manager of sickness or leave, otherwise it will be assumed that after two weeks absence and we have not heard otherwise, there may be a risk that you lose the space.
  • Two weeks’ notice must be given if you wish to give up your space.
  • All pre-schools on Portland belong to Portland pre-school support group, and therefore should you take your child away from Haylands owing money, and register at another pre-school on Portland, you will be asked for the fees due to Haylands before a space is offered. This applies vice-versa.

Funding & Eligibility

  • We accept 2-year funding for eligible children
  • 15 hours per week government funding available from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday
  • Some families eligible for 30 hours funding
  • Check eligibility at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/childcare-funding
  • We can accommodate the full 30 hours per week for eligible families
